Oh my... I think we all know what hasbro was doing here. Why not have her use her old voice too. Or make Rainbow Dash love fashion. Or give rarity a rainbow mane. Or or or... I dont even know anymore! Ugh. the acursed part of me that remembers generation 3 ponies.

"Come party with Pinkie Pie! Rainbow dash always dresses in style! Plays games with Scootaloo! I hope to hear a story from Cherilee! My little pony! My little pony!"

yeah there are 4. FIM is the 4th generation. The 3rd generation was the one were they had hearts on their hooves. I have trouble telling the difference between 1st and 2nd gen. They aren't all that different. That's were Twilight's mom's coat color comes from as well as Rainbow Dash's original form, Firefly. Applejack also has her original design from generation 1. You have to at least have watched them to understand the previous version of MLP. Thats how i know about generation 3 ponies so much.

well, she could be. It just depends on how you would want to look at it. Celestia and Luna did not exist in the previous generations. So that would make Twilight's mom far older than them. Its just how you would want to look at it.

Or there could be "The Twilight family" and was Pinkie pie the main protaginst in G3 ?

No Pinkie wasn't the protagonist. It all followed the main ponies around in daily activities much like generation 4. There was Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Cherilee, some pony close to Fluttershy, another pony similar to the cakes. Almost every pony in the FIM show has shown up or name's been said in previous generations.

I know for certain it was Applejack, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Pinkie Pie. I remember having a game where the name Fluttershy was named for a white earth pony, or something close to Fluttershy. There were many ponies. So its hard to remember who all was mention and not.

As for the Twilight family, its again as i said previously, its just how you would want to look at it. So if you want everlasting ponies as old as Celestia, by all means, go ahead. Or make a long lasting family of unicorns. Its whatever floats you boat.
